Pinball machine, Arcade Game and Slot machine Values
What is my game worth?
We do not estimate the value of an arcade game, pinball machine or slot machine. But, we can tell where to look to figure it out on your own. It just requires some homework on your part. First let’s go over some real world issues to make sure your expectations are realistic. The collector market is down, and has been down since the recession (over 10 years ago). During the recession people lost their jobs, they lost their homes, they just did not need an arcade game, pinball machine or slot machine. They had much larger concerns. So they sold their games, flooding the market. And with not as many buyers, the values really went down, and has not come back up. So for right now, it is a buyers market. This may help you in deciding if you really want to sell right now, or just hang onto your game and enjoy it more
Next, you must start with exactly what you have, manufacture name and exact name of your game. You want to compare Apples to Apples here. One game could easily be worth more than a different game, just like cars. Then, is your game complete or is it missing anything? This will effect the value for sure. Next, does it work and has it ever had any major work done to it? This too will effect value.
Now, what to do with all this info. Here is what you do. Go online to eBay and look under “Completed Listings” to see what your model Jukebox has actually sold for. Do not go to where items are currently for sale. The large price differences there will only confuse you further or make you think your game is worth much more than it actually is. Completed Listings will show you all the auctions that ended and what actually sold. “Sold” items will have their prices listed in Green print, and that is actually what they truly sold for. Items that did not sell, will have their prices listed in Black print, meaning they were priced too high. Then you can also click on their descriptions to compare them to yours in more detail (were they complete like yours, did they work like yours, etc.) Also, find out where they were located. You need to make sure the item was at least in the same country as yours. Then you will have a pretty good realistic idea of what your game is really worth today, and if you really want to sell it for that
